Gubbio
Gubbio has archaeological ruins dating back to 300 AD, it is made of splendid roads and passages, making it a model Umbrian town at the feet of the Apennines.
The attraction that Gubbio has, other than its sophisticated blend of past and present, promises all the benefits of urban life through its principal architectural accomplishments. The town itself is dominated by the Palazzo dei Consoli, symbol of the medieval power of Gubbio and frame for one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy.

Here lies the pathos of Gubbio, evoking emotions in all its visitors and residents applicable to every age and creed. Such intense emotional attractions can be found in the Italics sculpted in the bronze of the Eugubian Tables and the Roman ruins, namely the amphitheatre.
Examples of these are the buildings in the small prehistoric town on the Monte Calvo, the rocks of the ‘Bottaccione’ which have unlocked, with studies on iridium, sources of wisdom on the disappearance of dinosaurs.

The story of the patron Saint Ubaldo which advocates to every Eugubian the power of medieval civilizations’ belief in miraculous acts and religious ardor.
These are the roots, complex and mysterious, of the festival of “I Ceri” which makes every citizen of Gubbio full of a certain type of vigor, by which one is born, lives and dies as a “Ceraiolo”.
